COMING IN APRIL!
Showing our support for, and giving, back to the community is very important to the Integrated Team!
Congratulations to our very own Lisa Marsiglio, CNA, on winning the 2021 IHHC “Above and Beyond” Award. Lisa has been a CNA for our company for 5 years and splits her time between our home healthcare patients and hospice patients. Lisa sees patients 7 days a week – managing a full caseload of 25-30 patients, while maintaining another full-time position in the community, and still manages to be a supportive hands-on mother and grandmother. Lisa is the epitome of professionalism. Her compassion for her patients is only surpassed by her passion for what she does. In times of emergency, she never hesitates to jump in and lend a hand whenever and wherever it’s needed, even if that means driving an hour to see a patient who is staying with family living outside of our immediate service area. Her work ethic is unsurpassed, and she gives new meaning to the phrase ‘whatever it takes to get the job done”. Lisa develops deep relationships with our patients and families to the point that they feel comfortable sharing concerns and suggestions with her as to how we can improve our services, and she then doesn’t hesitant to share feedback, positive or negative, with our staff in order for us to further improve on what we do and offer to our clients. Here are just a few examples of times when Lisa went above and beyond: We once had a patient that had passed away, Lisa was asked to go the patient’s home to provide postmortem care. We were later notified by the family that her tenderness and compassion during that difficult time touched them very deeply and was a source of comfort. We had another patient who was quite incontinent and was struggling with the issues that presented. Lisa made extra visits to patient in order to not only attend to their needs, but to help educate and assist the family in proper care for their loved one. Lastly, any time a suggestion arises from our clients, Lisa is the first person wanting to, and sharing, insightful suggestions to make our organization stand out even more in the community, such as coming up with, and suggesting, ways to improve communication between patients and their families with our primary nursing staff. Putting her best foot forward, and representing Integrated as she does, elevates our company in the community, to our physician and case manager referral base, and most importantly to the families we serve in Lake County. Lisa’s advocacy for her patients, nurturing nature and undeniable diligence, caring and sincerity shines through in all that she does and to everyone she touches.
Without Lisa’s wonderful smile, tender touch and infinite patience, Integrated would shine a little less bright.
